Fifteen blackout fabric families in three construction tiers — Basic, Standard, and Premium — covering the full range of blackout applications from standard-fit interiors to wide-span, precision-sealed specifications.

BLOCK-X blackout addresses the hard program requirement: complete darkness. Guest rooms, meeting rooms, screening rooms, clinical spaces — wherever the program cannot tolerate light infiltration, the specification starts with a blackout fabric. Fifteen families across three tiers give the specifier a range of construction, surface finish, and available width to match the project type and budget.

Basic tier (four families, 100% polyester) covers standard applications where weight and cost efficiency matter. Standard tier (ten families, polyester-acrylic blends from 70/30 to 95/5) introduces improved surface characteristics and wider width availability, with some families reaching 3.00 m in a single drop. Premium tier (one family, 75% PVC / 25% fibreglass) provides the widest available footprint — widths to 3.00 m across multiple cuts — and is the specified solution for large-span blackout in hospitality and commercial interiors.

Paired with the PENUMBRA dual-roller system, BLOCK-X blackout operates as the nighttime layer alongside a daytime SUNSCREEN or ReFlex® screen in a single headrail.
