Filtrante

Twelve families of semi-translucent decorative fabrics. Softens and diffuses incoming light without intercepting the solar spectrum technically. Specified for privacy, enclosure, and interior quality in non-solar-control applications.

Filtrante is not a solar control fabric. It does not carry an openness factor in the technical screen sense, and it does not reduce solar gain with the precision of a screen or a ReFlex® fabric. What it does is diffuse and soften: incident light is scattered rather than blocked, giving the space a warm, enclosed quality without hard shadows or direct glare. The specification is visual and spatial rather than energetic.

Twelve fabric families cover a range of compositions — pure polyester, polyester-acrylic blends, and a polyester-linen mix in Filtrante 08 (MACAÚBA) — and widths from 2.00 m to 3.00 m. They are specified for interiors where the brief calls for visual privacy, a diffused interior quality, or a decorative textile character: residential living areas, hotel lobbies, quiet zones in commercial interiors. Where the solar load is a primary concern, the specifier should review the SUNSCREEN or ReFlex® collections instead.

Typical values, subject to confirmation. Filtrante fabrics do not carry an openness factor in the solar screen sense; light diffusion is the relevant performance characteristic.
